Basic recipe To a wide mouth jar add-: same quantity of oats and cold milk(any type) I use half a cup of oats and milk for Pat and quarter a cup for me. tablespoon of greek yoghurt or creme fraiche tablespoon of Chia seeds teaspoon of vanilla extract(optional) pinch salt (optional)
mix and leave overnight in the fridge
in the morning add your flavourings and fruit. In this picture I have added banana, coulis made from frozen fruit and maple syrup. However, you can add any fresh fruit, I often use strawberries and blueberries, toasted nuts and seeds, peanut butter or Nutella, grated or chunks of chocolate, desiccated or grated coconut, dried fruit or berries, apples and cinnamon or spice of choice, maple syrup, honey or sweetener of choice. Note - you can add frozen fruit to the basic recipe but be aware of the water content as this will make a less creamy result which is why I make a coulis.
